Who holds my files?
Your files are encrypted in your browser, then split into fragments. Each fragment is stored on a different independent host. No single host, server, or person can read a whole file — including us.
Is my payment information safe?
Mimir Storage never sees your card. Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, using PCI-compliant infrastructure. Paddle also manages billing support, tax, and refunds.
What happens if a host goes offline?
Every file is stored with extra fragments. You can download as long as enough hosts are online. The system automatically repairs missing fragments on other live hosts.
Can I cancel or change my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing page. Changes take effect immediately and any difference is credited or charged pro-rata.
What if I forget my passphrase?
It cannot be reset, and your files cannot be recovered without it. Keep it in a password manager.
How do I rent out space on my device?
Tap “Become a host” and follow the checklist. Your device stores encrypted fragments while it is online. You earn a share of the subscription price for the space you actually provide.
